The Dixie House system encourages pupils to push for the best in themselves and their classmates. As a member of a School House, a pupil will learn to embrace challenges and work in collaboration with others to set and reach goals.

Every pupil and member of staff at The Dixie, belongs to a House, York (gold) or Lancaster (royal blue). The Houses compete against each other, earning house points which results in the awarding of a House Cup at the end of the academic year. Pupils have the opportunity to earn points from a wide range of group activities ie inter-house cross country, sports day and individually by earning points for behaviour, excellence and academic merit or as deemed appropriate by any member of staff. Each House has a Head of House (member of staff), and two House Captains who ‘rally the troops’ at the many events organised within school.
