Junior Music Concerts

Music Concerts at The Junior School include;

  • Two 'Winter Soloist Concerts' with an accompanist - (One for Higher Ability advanced musicians, and one for those just starting to learn an instrument/Lower ability).
  • A Summer Concert (Showcasing some of the work of each of the choirs, The Orchestra, Brass Group, duets and performances from all year groups.
  • Three Strings Concerts (One per term) for all children in Year 3, performing on cellos and violins.
  • Two Nativity Plays (Nursery & Reception combined, Year 1 & 2 combined)
  • A Mothers' Day Musical Performance for Reception.
  • A Graduation Musical Concert for Nursery Children.
  • The Year 5 Summer Musical.
  • 'Young Voices Choir Concert' at The Birmingham NIA for all Children in Year 4 and 5 (Singing and Dance rehearsals incorporated in the children's class music lessons).
  • Two public performances at a Local Garden Centre & Old Peoples' home (Christmas and Easter themed concerts).
  • Orchestral Day (For higher ability musicians to spend the day rehearsing, collaborating and performing in a concert with musicians at the Senior School including pupils from other schools)
  • May Day Celebrations (Children of all year groups learn and perform  Maypole dances.  Parents invited to attend.)
  • Christmas Carol Service (Musical Performances from choirs, year group singing and the orchestra at the local Church in Market Bosworth).
  • Year 5 'Summer Fete Samba Band' (Outdoors Brazilian Themed Samba Performance on percussion, accompanied with dance and singing).
  • Various instrumental recitals.
