Students already at the Dixie will start the process of considering their A level choices early. During Year 11, they will have individual discussions with our Head of Sixth Form and Head of Upper School who will help them with their option choices and guide them through this important next step.
At the Dixie we also have an excellent record for welcoming students from other schools into our Sixth Form and helping them to achieve their ambitions. We hold an annual Sixth Form Open Evening in November which is open to all, but would be very happy to arrange a personal tour of the school for prospective students and their family at any time.

All students joining our Sixth Form usually require a minimum of five passes at GCSE grades 9 – 4, including Mathematics and English Language. Students will normally also need to have at least a grade 6 in the subjects they wish to study at A-Level, but each applicant is considered on an individual basis.
