Year 6 Science Trip to Rosliston.
Year 6 students had an activity packed day of science at Rosliston forestry centre in Derbyshire. In the morning we went mini beast hunting in the murky pond, under logs in the deep dark wood and in the long grasslands. Using keys and food webs we identified lots of amazing insects like beetles, leeches and centipedes. We also learnt about different types of bridges around the site and built a human bridge using rope. One of the highlights was our own bird of prey demonstration where we got to touch and hold some of them. Nathan had to run away as fast as possible as a Harris hawk flew after some food attached to him on a string. Report by: Will Clarke Robyn Walker 6G
