Entrance Requirements
Nursery School
Children are eligible to join the Nursery on or after their third birthday.
Parents will be invited to visit for a socially distanced tour and spend some time with Mrs G Hayward, Nursery Manager to get to know the routines followed in the Nursery and to ask any questions they may have. Mrs Hayward will ask questions about your child to ascertain their development stage and discuss a ‘settling-in plan’ as appropriate.
Junior School
Admission to Reception and Year 1 is by teacher assessment. Admission to Years 2,3,4 and 5 is by both academic assessment and classroom observation. External candidates will have age-appropriate English and Mathematics tasks to complete, which can be completed remotely. Offers for places will be made on the basis of a meeting with the parents, a copy of the last school report (including any assessment information from the last school) and the English and Mathematics tasks.
Socially distanced tours of the Junior School site with the Headteacher are available by appointment and, where possible, these can take place with your child.
The Entrance Examination in January is available for those wishing to apply for a scholarship to the Senior School. Arrangements for interviews, assessments and tests can be made at other times of the year.
