The School has officially opened its new floodlit synthetic pitch at its Barton Road Sports Ground.  It was opened by former pupil, U18 England and Leicester Tigers Academy rugby player Owen Hills.

The pitch, which is to be used by school and community groups, was constructed at a cost of over £500,000 following a Sport England National Lottery grant of £150,000.

Headmaster Mr Richard Lynn said “Having this great facility on our doorstep will be of great benefit not only to our students but also to the local community.  It offers the potential for a wide range of sports to played at all times of the year, day and evening.  I am absolutely delighted that a number of local clubs are already making good use of it.”
