This has been another fantastic year for the Dixie, rounded off by an excellent set of A level results. Having returned from this summer’s Study Camp in China and ‘Kruger to Coast’ World Challenge trip in Swaziland, our A level students are celebrating another year of most impressive exam results.

A record-breaking 62.2% of the A2 level exam results awarded to our students are at the coveted top grades of A*, A and B and the young men and women leaving the Dixie do so assured of a very bright future ahead. We are delighted that over 80% are now able to take places at their first choice university and we wish all our students well in the next stage of their studies and in their future careers

To have managed these results inside the classroom alongside the ambition, courage, talent and successes outside the classroom that is so much a feature of the education here, makes these results all the more impressive.

It is not always the highest grades that represent the greatest achievement, but special mention should be made of Naomi Potter with three A* and one A grade who is now going on to study International History and Politics at the University of Leeds and Edward Dyer with a perfect three A* grades who is going on to study Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Southampton. Megan Clews, Head Girl of the School, obtained three A grades and one B grade and will be going to Bristol University to read History. Jordan Henshaw continues our success in Chinese, going to Durham University to read Chinese Studies, having achieved an A* in German, A in French, and an A grade in AS Level Mandarin.
