08/12/15 U13’s Girls Hockey v Twycross @ Home: Dixie 2 Twycross 1
After learning a lot at the ISA Hockey Tournament at Cannock the U13’s were ready to face some new opposition. Twycross were a strong side as ever but the Dixie Girls played some excellent Hockey and really battled for every last ball. Well done to Anya Friston for a great goal in the second half and Becky Smart for outstanding work rate as ever. Special mention to Emily Clement for great support play on the right wing and Harriat Whitehead for saving some really tricky shots in her goalie debut. Player of the match goes to Megan Mears for the progress she has made so far this season as well as her reliable quality play in defence. Big thanks to Lizzie Harvey for some excellent umpiring all game.
