A group of students from the Dixie in collaboration with students from Bosworth High School need your support for an event they are planning as part of their NCS award in aid of ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, an amazing organisation which provides wishes for sick or disabled children. The text they have sent me is below along with their flyer for the event.
We would like to make you aware of an upcoming charity fun day which is being run by a group of local students as part of their NCS programme. The event is called Bosworth Fantasy Fest and is in aid of When You Wish Upon A Star, an amazing organisation which provides wishes for sick or disabled children. The money raised from this event will go directly towards paying for this year’s winter trip to Lapland, where the children will get to meet Santa!
If you’re around on the afternoon of Sunday 14th August, please come along to the School’s Barton Road sports ground with your family and friends to show your support for this wonderful charity. The day will have a fantasy theme, offering the chance for parents and children alike to dress up as their favourite superhero, Disney princess or movie character. There will be a costume parade and prizes for the best outfits, so make sure to start planning your costume early!Entry fees for the event will be £4 for adults and £3 for children (with a £1 discount for anyone in costume!) and you will receive a wristband to show your support (and to make sure the organisers know who has paid!) This entry fee will include a free drink, as well as free access to certain stalls.If you would like to run a stall at the fun day, either as a volunteer helping out with games or as a local business owner, or if you would like to help in any other way, then please get in touch with the organisers through the event’s Facebook page, Bosworth Fantasy Fest 2016, or on 07926414654.
