I am delighted to be able to share with you full details of our Inspection Report from February 2022, which could not have been more positive in its findings on all aspects of school life from Nursery through to Sixth Form. As well as recognising pupils’ outstanding academic success from 3-18, inspectors poured praise on pupils’ personal development. In all respects we were given the highest grade – Excellent!

In addition to the Educational Quality Inspection, there is also a Regulatory Compliance Inspection. The judgments here are binary: ‘met’ or ‘not met’. We were judged fully compliant.

As an independent school inspector, I have an insight into just how extraordinarily positive the language is in this report.  We see how impressive your children are on a daily basis and we are delighted the inspectors were quick to form the same opinion, describing them as ‘thoughtful young people with excellent levels of self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience,’ who show ‘extremely positive attitudes to learning‘ and develop ‘their skills, knowledge and understanding exceptionally well in all areas.’ It is also a pleasure to read that pupils have ‘an exceptionally well developed respect for people who are different from themselves’ and for whom ‘kindness is at the heart of the school’s expectations.’

There are too many areas to highlight here; we would encourage you to read the full report and hope our parents and pupils can take pride in the enormous role they play in school life.

Please also rest assured that our use of the inspection process does not end with the publication, even of such a positive report; we will dissect its findings and look forward to building on this success.

With my best wishes,
Richard Lynn
