It has been a remarkable few days for our most senior students and prefects. Head Boy, Miles Pulsford, had reached the final of the ISA National Young Musician Competition, which saw him compete against some of the finest young musicians from across the country at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. With a new bow tie provided for the occasion, Headmaster and accompanist, Richard Lynn and Music Coordinator, Olivia Mason, could not have been prouder of his performance and well-deserved medal. Not least because this prestigious event followed earlier news of an offer of a place to study Veterinary Science at Cambridge later this year. There was delight too for Rica Gibson, Music Prefect, who received the same offer to study Veterinary Science at Cambridge. With only 70 offers made for this course at Cambridge, this is a proud reflection of the calibre of the Sixth Form at Dixie.
