Ian is Chair of the Finance, Facilities & People Committee. He lives in Hinckley and has a son in the Senior School and another who recently left to go to university.
Ian is a Chartered Tax Advisor with over 30 years’ experience, working for twelve years with KPMG (including two years in Australia), then the global mining group BHP Billiton, and since 2004 with global insurer and reinsurer, QBE, where he is Head of Tax for the group’s International Division, encompassing the group’s operations in UK, Europe, Asia and Canada. Ian sits on the Taxation Strategy Committee of the Association of British Insurers.
In addition to his professional qualifications, Ian has an MBA and a degree in History from the University of Nottingham.
