This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to work in an independent school in rural Leicestershire. The Dixie Grammar School is a selective 3-18 coeducational independent school with nearly 500 pupils and over 100 members of staff. The Nursery and Junior School site is based in Wellsborough and the Senior School is in the heart of the picturesque town of Market Bosworth.

The Finance Manager reports to the Headmaster and has a key role in the management and reporting of the schools finances.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, qualified accountant with a proven track record in a senior finance role with responsibility for leading a team and the confidence and ability to work independently. They will have knowledge of the full range of financial functions including budgeting, management accounts, statutory accounts and financial regulation. Experience of managing a payroll service and charity legislation would also be helpful. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as a member of the wider school team.
