We are recruiting for a full-time, term time only, Design and Technology Technician to assist teaching staff in providing students at The Dixie Grammar School with an exceptional Design & Technology experience and ensuring high levels of achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding and enthusiastic Technician to join our successful independent selective co-educational day school in rural Leicestershire.
Key tasks will include assisting teaching staff during practical lessons, preparation of materials, ensuring hand tools and workshop machinery, including dust extraction filters, are maintained correctly, assist in developing appropriate resources/ displays for teaching and learning as well as managing stock and ordering supplies as requested.
The successful applicant will have, amongst other skills, excellent knowledge and experience of resistant materials and or product design in an industrial or commercial environment, as well as effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
