We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Manager to join us in this key non-educational role focused on the successful continued growth, development and day to day running of this highly regarded independent, selective, co-educational day school in rural Leicestershire whose last full ISI inspection was awarded Excellent. We are seeking an experienced manager with a proven track record in broad leadership roles which should include responsibility for Finance, IT and business administration. Some experience of estates management would also be advantageous.

Reporting directly to the Headmaster, the Business Manager leads and manages the Finance, IT and Facilities departments and as a member of the SLT will work with the Headmaster and senior colleagues to formulate the School’s Development Strategy. The Business Manager also works closely with the Governors and attends regular meetings with the Chair of the Finance, Facilities and People (FFP) Committee.

The Business Manager will be a strong leader and positive team player who is able to work effectively with a wide range of people and has experience of successfully managing teams. The ability to motivate, appropriately challenge and influence a range of stakeholders in a collaborative, team based environment and to think strategically is essential.

Previous experience in a school would be useful but is not essential. However candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to education and an appreciation of the particular demands of working in the education sector.
